Light Speed?

Earlier this month two German scienctists claimed they had broken Light Speed! What I dont get is why haven't they agreed to prove this claim? Lets look at it this way, if you were to travel the speed of light, time stops. Not only does time stop, but your body mass is envinity. Now if you were to travel faster than light speed, you would acctualy arrive at your destination before you left? Maybe I'm confused but can anyone shed some light on the situation?

I don't think they maniged to launch a human faster then the light speed caz the G-force is too great for the human body

I think this is actually something like in maths where some say that 1=2, but they make a huge error on the way there. I have to add, that they need unlimited energy too, and there is a rule which says: If a thing is faster it's harder to say it's position and vice versa. So if it(the sg. they accellerated) goes faster than lightspeed, which is the fastest speed, they can't say it's position. And that speed is so fast, that it leaves earth before you can say "Borat Sagdiyev". Even nuclear engine is VERY slow compared to light speed. It's impossible that it was made with man made things. And the fastest wave-particle (strange isn't it) is light, so I don't think they found anything faster. We would be dead then. If something is infinite in the universe=instant armageddon.

Yeah, the only things that travel light speed are light itself and radio transmission waves, and I can't wait to hear what they have to say about proving it
