The reason I bring this up is, I was born in Northen Ireland and therfore classed as British, but I do not see myself as British, I see myself as Irish.

Hundreds of years ago an English king invaded Ireland, he managed to take over Northen Ireland but was defeated by the Irish in Ireland and retreated. Since then the IRA have been fighting to restore Northen Ireland and Ireland into one, while the UDA (Ulster Defence Association) and the UFF (Ulster Freedom Fighters) have been fighting to keep Northen Ireland, British.

Now people say that the IRA's methods are highly extreme, but this is not true. Yes I grant you the fact that the IRA has it's extremists but doesn't every army/orginization? The IRA's methods to me, make alot of sense, For instence:

A man steals a car in Northe Ireland
The IRA investigate and warm the man
The man steals again
The IRA punish him
He steals again and again
The IRA punish him further and warm that next time it will be his life
The man never steals again

I don't see what is wrong with theese methods, now consider the UDA and UFF, all they do is parade the streets lookin for trouble, they have even attacked there own people on occasion.

Now we get to the Catholic Vs Prodestant part!

Ireland has always been Catholic, when Northen Ireland was taken by the British Northen Ireland was converted to Prodestant (A religion created by a fat and greedy king, that means nothing to god as he only created the religion to have sex with another wife) so the wars between Chatholic and Prodestant began. The IRA do not care whether you are Muslim or Jewish, all they care about is there country, on the other hand the UDA and UFF only care about this stupid war, The UDA and UFF are just a bunch of kids playing games.

The British put the Irish through hell and peverty for hundreds of years, and still to this day, they refuse to give back Northen Ireland. This is why I have little respect for the British goverment, don't get me wrong I love britain and it's people and love going there on holiday, but Northen Ireland belongs to the Irish and not the British. You can't take over a country and say it's your's as it will never be your's it will always be that country.

Just want to start with the fact that I live in Northen Ireland, and that is a ver good topic you picked all of it's true and makes alot of sence, and I totally agree with every word, very good and very well said.

It does Officially belong as part of Britain.

But I don't see why, It is still Ireland, people speak Irish, you're on the same island. I don't see why it can't be officially part of Ireland, but from another point of view I don't see why the Irish can't just join Britain, but under their same leader, I'm not saying they should, but we are near enough the same people. we live so close, and we wold be better standing united than apart.

Well Ireland does wanna stand as one with Britain but they want to do it as there own country, not as Britain. Northen Ireland does belong to Britain under law, but it will always be Ireland. All the Irish want is there country to be united as one, then we can join forces with Britain.

I was there. The border between it and Ireland is a yellow line on the road. I was in Londonderry, and there were SEVERE fightings between the brits and the Irish. I don't know the state of this though.
